Basement Cleanouts in Fairburn
We carry out the boxes, old furniture, broken appliances and damp clutter that pile up in a basement. Our crew does the lifting and the stairs, sweeps up, and leaves you with open walls and floor you can actually check on. One call sets up a free on-site estimate.

A clear basement is easier to look after
A basement fills up slowly. A box after a move, a chair nobody sits in, the old freezer that still sort of works. A few years later you can't reach the water heater or see the back wall. That's when small problems go unnoticed.
A basement cleanout clears it in one visit. We take what you don't want, leave what you do, and haul the rest to donation, recycling or the landfill. Once the space is open, you can spot a damp corner, a slow drip or a crack in the slab while it's still a small fix.
Humid Georgia summers make this matter more. Cardboard and fabric stacked against a foundation wall soak up moisture and hold it there. Getting them out lets air move and keeps the damp from reaching the things you're keeping.
What a basement cleanout covers
Boxes and stored household items
Old paperwork, holiday decorations, toys, clothes in bins. We bag it and carry it out. If something looks like it might matter, like photos or documents, we ask before it goes.
Furniture and heavy pieces
Couches, dressers, bed frames, old desks and shelving. If a piece won't make the turn on the stairs, we take it apart first. For one couch or dresser somewhere else in your home, see our furniture removal page.
Old appliances and equipment
Dead freezers, dehumidifiers, washers, treadmills and weight sets. Heavy items get strapped to a dolly and walked up step by step so your stairs and railings stay in one piece.
Items that got wet
Wet carpet scraps, swollen particleboard shelves, soaked cardboard. We bag damp material so it doesn't drip across your floors on the way out.
Sorting for donation and recycling
Usable furniture and goods go to donation when they're in good shape. Metal and appliances go to recycling. Only what's left goes to the landfill.
A sweep when we're done
After the last load, we sweep the floor. You see bare concrete and walls, which is the whole point.
Signs it's time to clear out the basement
You can't reach the utilities
If you have to move boxes to get to the water heater, furnace or electrical panel, it's too full. A repair tech needs room to work, and so do you if something leaks.
A musty smell that won't quit
Piles of cardboard and fabric trap damp air. A smell that hangs around usually means something down there is holding water.
Moving boxes still taped shut
Boxes that haven't been opened since you moved in are a good hint. If you haven't needed it in years, you probably won't.
You're planning to finish the space or sell
Both start with an empty basement. Contractors and home inspectors need to see the walls, floor and drain.
Things are going bad in storage
Warped wood, rusted tools and mildewed clothes mean the basement isn't protecting what's in it. Better to clear it now than lose more.
How the job day goes
- 1
Call and tell us what's down there
Give us a rough idea of what you have and how much. We'll set up a free on-site estimate or put you on the pickup schedule.
- 2
Walk-through and price
We look at the pile, the stairs and the path out to the truck. You get the price before we lift anything, and you decide from there.
- 3
Load out
We pad door frames and the stair path, then carry everything up and out. You point, we haul. Anything you want to keep stays put.
- 4
Sort and haul away
Donations, recycling and trash get separated and taken where each belongs.
- 5
Sweep and a last look
We sweep up and walk the space with you so the corners, walls and floor drain are easy to see.
What moves the price
The price comes down to how much we haul and how hard it is to get it out. You get upfront pricing with no hidden fees, and we give it to you at the walk-through before any work starts. Every basement is different, so we price yours after we see it.
- How much there is
- Volume is the biggest factor. A handful of pieces costs less than a basement packed wall to wall.
- Stairs and the carry out
- Steep or narrow stairs, tight turns and a long walk to the driveway add time. A walkout door makes the job quicker.
- Heavy or special items
- Old freezers, pianos, safes and weight sets take more hands and more care. Appliances with refrigerant can carry their own disposal fees.
- Wet or damaged material
- Soaked carpet and swollen furniture weigh more and need bagging, which adds labor.
Basement cleanout questions
Something not covered here? (404) 738-5781
Do I need to bring things upstairs before you come?
No. Leave everything where it is. Carrying it up the stairs is our job, and we do it with straps and dollies so nobody gets hurt and nothing gets dinged.
Can I keep some things and get rid of the rest?
Yes, and most people do it that way. Put tape on what stays or just tell us on the day. If you're not sure about a box, we'll set it aside so you can look before it goes.
Will you take old paint, chemicals or propane tanks?
Tell us about them when you call. Some of these have special disposal rules. We'll let you know what we can take and what needs to go to a county drop-off instead.
How long does a basement cleanout take?
Most take a few hours. A packed basement with tight stairs can take most of the day. We give you a time estimate at the walk-through so you can plan around it.
Can you do the garage on the same trip?
Yes. We can add a garage cleanout or storage unit cleanout if it makes sense to do it together. Mention it when you call so we bring enough truck space.
